Ballycotton Lighthouse, Garryvoe Beach Looped Route:
Route 1: Midleton – Cloyne – Shanagarry – Ballycotton & return to Midleton (40 km) OR
Route 2: Continue on to Garryvoe Beach – Castlemartyr – Midleton (Looped Route – 45km)
Start & Finish Points: Midleton Greenway Bikes & Bites
Directions:
- Go left on main street opposite U Save and travel the length of Bailick Road
- At the T junction with the main road, turn left uphill, signposted Midleton 2k
- Turn right after the grotto, following signs for Cloyne (R629)
- Take the first left for Ballycotton & Cloyne
- Continue straight through the next junction, going up the hill towards Cloyne
- At the crossroads in Cloyne, go left following signs for Ballycotton & Shanagarry
- Go right at the crossroads at the entrance to Ballymaloe House for Shanagarry & Ballycotton (or cycle through the House to visit the café & shop)
- On entering Shanagarry, turn right before Broderick’s Filling Station for Ballycotton
- Route 1 involves completing the route above in reverse to return to Midleton or alternatively continue on Route 2 below
- Return to Shanagarry, take a right at Broderick’s Filling Station for Castlemartyr
- After Garryvoe Hotel keep left for Ladysbridge (or go right to dip your toes in the Celtic Sea at Garryvoe Beach)
- Continue through Ladysbridge for Castlemartyr
- Take a left at the traffic lights in Castlemartyr to return to Midleton
- Take the first exit for Midleton to return to Greenway Bikes & Bites
